What is the difference between Reiki and Theta Healing? Reiki is a quiet, extremely relaxing energy healing session, where you can totally let go and receive. Theta Healing is similar in sensation to reiki but there is an added verbal component, where I will speak to energies I’m sensing. Theta Healing involves clearing limiting beliefs and installing new vibrations and beliefs in the body. An example of this is: “Can I pull and release the belief life is supposed to be hard.” “Instead, can I download, I allow my life to be easeful.” The beliefs that come up, are, of course, unique to you. Many people have emotional reactions as beliefs are cleared.
When do I book Reiki vs Theta? If you are new to energy healing, I recommend starting with reiki to get a sense of how the energy feels. If you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or working with a specific area of physical pain, directed reiki healing is hugely beneficial. All my clients who come in with physical pain note a considerable relief of their pain at the end of the session. Theta healing can address physical pain too. There is a more interactive component to Theta Healing to be aware of. Theta Healing is excellent if you are struggling with particular emotional/psychological patterns, feel stuck, or need insight or guidance in some area of your life. Both sessions are intuitive and what unfolds will be what is most supportive for you.
How often should I come for Reiki or Theta Healing? This is so individual and really depends on your intention. I have some clients that come once a quarter for Theta Healing and some every month. If you are working with a particular theme I recommend coming in regularly for a while. This helps to get deeper into the root of whatever you’re working on. At least two sessions in a row seems to be the most supportive for most. So, if you have reiki one time, I recommend coming at least one more time a few weeks to a month after. You can also use energy healing as a “tune up,” and come in every once and a while, to clean your system- this is more for those who have a regular energy practice they do outside of sessions.
